I enjoyed this work by Mr. Huey. I found the plot engaging and with plenty of twists and turns. As you read it you might be struck on how often the characters are smoking or imbibing. Actually, both practices are extremely common in that part of the world- particularly smoking. So pick up the book, sit back, and enjoy the ride.I look forward to more works by Mr. Huey.

The characters are fantastic - Huey has a great sense of humor, as well as a great sense of adventure. It's a fun read!
We enjoyed reading this quirky, adventure mystery rich in Balkan history. It was a great read with lots of twists and turns.
I received this book as a gift for Christmas and it was a wonderful surprise. once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Just finished this book. I went in not knowing what to expect. The novel is well-put together with the usual in-fighting and tension. It had me laughing and shaking my head at the gall of some people. There were times I wanted to knock someone off myself. I am looking forward to this author's next book
really enjoyed this one. there's a lot of characters, and I got a bit confused at first, but I powered out the entire last half of the book in one long sitting. Everyone in it is real. Most adventure stories feature a guy who can outsmart everyone, beat everyone in a fight, never misses a shot, etc. All the characters in Tall Weeds have their strengths and weaknesses. hence they are all believable. Plus, the place is believable. Not that I ever doubted the existence of the Balkans. But you can tell that the author was there, at that time and place, and was able to really capture the feel of it. Over all, a really enjoyable read!
I found chapter one of Tall Weeds to be very exciting. As the story progressed and the characters developed I discovered that there was much more intrigue to come. The author seems to be very familiar with Balkan history and has woven an interesting story around it. As I am a lover of all things historical, reading a novel based, even loosely, on actual events always captures my interest. Judging from the ending, there will be more to come from his protagonist, Tyler Longvue and I look forward to reading the next installment.
I enjoyed this book start to finish, and look forward to future works from this author. The story line was intriguing, and realistic.
